GI Q 6.1 -1Q19

Hello,

Can you provide some clarity on the below question? We will like to know if the examination letter was received on 4/19/2019, should we utilize that date on question 6.1 for 1Q19? Is planning considered part of the examination?

6.1 State as of what date the latest financial examination of the reporting entity was made or is being made?

Here are the instructions for Part 1 - Common Interrogatories General 6.1:

6.1 The date of the financial examination that should be reported is for a financial examination conducted by a state regulatory authority. (It is not a CPA annual audit.) The financial examination is considered ?being made? for a given calendar year as soon as a formal notice is received from the domiciliary state that it intends to conduct the examination.

I think what they are getting at is the periods which are being examined. The way I read the instructions is that when you have been notified that certain periods will be examined (assume that is the 4/19/19 you reference), you would indicate the years under examination.
