Description:
SSAP 10R is effective for annual statements ending December 31, 2009 and interim and annual statements ending December 31, 2010. This statement substantially revised SSAP 10 admission guidance for deferred tax assets. For those insurers that qualify, an additional deferred tax asset admission alternative is available. This webinar will review the key provisions of SSAP 10R, illustrate the calculation of deferred tax assets (DTAs) under SSAP 10R, outline the new disclosure requirements, and demonstrate the presentation of DTA information in the statutory financial statements.
The information to be presented is designed to assist all preparers of Statutory Annual Statements. The illustrations that will be utilized during the webinar are prepared from a Property & Casualty company perspective but the concepts and determination of an insurer’s net DTA is applicable to all insurance companies. During the presentation, the instructors will highlight where the SSAP 10R guidance differs between P&C and Life insurers.
